Lab AIR is a design studio led by Iris de Kievith, founded in 2018 with Annemarie Piscaer, who remained involved in the studio until 2025. The projects harness the power of imagination to make complex issues related the climate crisis easier to understand and to offer practical guidance for a healthy and fair future.
Iris de Kievith
Iris de Kievith combines her work in social design at Lab AIR with her previously established studio Iris de Kievith, spatial and architectural design. She develops projects in which research and social challenges are reflected in artistic translation and practical tools designed to spark the imagination and bring people together to exchange ideas and explore ways to take action. Collaborations include Superuse OnSite, Flora voor Fauna, Cascoland Amsterdam, EnergieKas and Constructlab in The Hague.
Annemarie Piscaer
Annemarie Piscaer currently focuses on her PhD research at LUCA School of Arts, KU Leuven. Her doctoral project, Aerial and Airing, explores situated material engagement. She is also affiliated with the Avans Centre of Applied Research for Art, Design and Technology (CARADT).
Annemarie graduated from Design Academy Eindhoven and holds a Master's degree in Arts Education. In 2014, she founded Studio Dust, a research-driven design practice led by her a fascination for dust.
